The rules for Apocalyps are very simple.
This is a booked league. The winners of matches are determined primarily off of roleplays made on our forum, although strategies are also important.
Roleplays
Roleplay is the heart of this game. It's interacting, if not always directly, with other players and setting up the scene. It's building angles with other players and just making an interesting story. The better the roleplay, the more likely you are to win. One phenomenal post on the forum is worth more then ten mediocre posts.
Since this fed does not take place on a real network like most other efeds, there are no interviewers or cameras that follow the characters around for "one on one" interviews. Tell a story about your character. Show her daily life and interactions. Illustrate why she's in the league and why winning means so much to her.
Roleplays made up until the day before a scheduled show can affect the outcome of your match. If you have a good idea for a post, post it even if the show's going up in two days. It might sway the outcome of your match.
Joint roleplays with other players are allowed and encouraged, but do not use another player's character(s) without permission. If you need to respond to another wrestler and haven't or don't want to contact their handler, find a creative way to do it in character without "using" their character. The first time you use someone else's character without permission, you will be warned. The second time, your wrestler will forfeit the match. The third time, further action will be taken as deemed necessary.
A lack of roleplays prior to a show means your wrestler will lose their next match. However, if your character isn't scheduled for the next card you don't have to roleplay - but it's always good to lay down the groundwork for future angles and rivalries.
Strategies
Players must also submit a strategy - a basic outline of their battle plan for the match. While the strategy does not have to follow a set formula and will have no determination in the winner of the match (unless the player strats to lose, and that's the player's choice), a strategy MUST be received no less than three days before the match is to go up. A lack of strategy will mean a loss for the player.
A strategy is important because it gives the match writer an idea of what your character will do in the match. Useful information includes what she'll say inside the ring, preferred moves she'll use, how she'll enter the ring, what she'll do if she wins or what she'll do if she loses.
Matches and Cards
There will be no set schedule for cards but we're shooting to have them every other week. If this becomes a problem, we'll space them out more. If the opposite is true, they'll occur more often.
The number of matches per card will depend entirely on the number of match writers available. The more people willing and able to write matches, the more there'll be. All winners will be determined by the fed head, however. Card schedules will be posted a month in advance but are always subject to change.
Players who roleplay more often will be scheduled for matches more often. If you want your wrestler to be left off a match for whatever reason, please contact the fed head two weeks prior to the card's date.
If you don't want to sit around and "hope" to be included in a match, you may challenge another player. To do so, make an in character post about the challenge you're submitting on the forum. Designate the type of match you'd like (for a list of possible match types, see the Match Types section below). It's also a good idea to contact the fed head, just in case he missed the post. Other players are under no obligation to accept your challenge and the fed head reserves the right to veto any challenge. Should this happen, he will contact the players involved and explain to them why and see what, if anything, can be done to resolve the matter.
All match outcomes are final. If you are unhappy with a result, please take it up with the fed head and he will do what he can to resolve the matter, but please remember that this is only a game. Everyone is hopefully here to have fun.
Matches Types
There are countless possible matches your wrestler can be involved in. Most matches have a monetary value associated with them. The value is always the fee paid to the winner and can range from $750 to as high as $10,000. Losers are always paid $200, unless the match stipulations say otherwise (example: a more dangerous match like a barb wire or Phoenix match may pay the loser more, like $500, if only to cover their medical costs. Some matches may pay the loser nothing, making the sting of losing that much worse).
Below is a list of matches and their usual winner's fee. If you've a new type of match you wish to suggest or challenge another player to, you're encouraged to do so but the fed head will determine the winner's fee. Also, the more "high paying" matches will be used sparingly - and only the Fed Head will decide when a Battle Royale occurs.

Back Alley Fights
Some things just can't be settled in the ring. That's when back alley fights occur.
A back alley fight is just as it sounds. One wrestler challenges another to a fight out back after a card. There's no referee, no color commentary, no ring and no rules. You do not get money for winning (unless that was an agreed stipulation) nor does the result of the match affect either wrestler's standing in the rankings. The usual rules apply. You must roleplay and submit strats for a back alley fight.
If you already have a match on that night's card, you can still partake in a back alley fight but must submit a separate strategy. Only a certain number of back alley fights will be allowed and, in case of time or writer shortage, they may be "rescheduled" for a few days after or until the next card.
Going on Leave/Resigning
Real life gets in the way sometimes. If you need to go on hiatus or resign from the league, please let us know as soon as possible. Your character will be retired until you see fit to return. No one else will play her.
Rules Are Subject to Change
Things change. Leagues grow. These rules may need updating or rewriting. Should this occur, players will be notified on the forum, the front page and by email.
